Elegant and matching pair of Italian gilt wood wall mirrors, each measuring 40 inches tall, by 18 inches wide. Hand-carved in the rococo revival style with exuberant scrolling foliage and distinctive bird motifs.
Produced in Italy (stamped Made in Italy with workshop number on the reverse). Date to the mid-20th century. Solid wood construction with traditional wooden backboards and hanging harware.
There are a couple of carved pieces missing, notice the very top of one of the mirrors, and the very bottom of one of the mirrors. There are some shrinkage cracks as well.
